Chris Winterbauer

Chris was born in Seattle, Washington, and raised by lawyers who encouraged his strange predilection for the arts. He attended Stanford University, studied Economics, and was recognized as one of the school’s most average students. He worked for Intel Corp. for two years doing mostly basic addition and subtraction in Excel spreadsheets before deciding to go to film school. He received his MFA in Film & Television Production from USC. Chris is the third funniest person in his immediate family, behind both of his sisters and sometimes his dad. He believes humor and drama are completely codependent and that you can’t truly love something unless you can laugh at it. Including yourself. His short film, Break Down, recently premiered on Short of the, has been picked up as a Vimeo Staff Pick and was featured on FilmSchoolRejects as a “dark, absurd, and elegant end to a love gone sour.” Press: Film School Rejects Short of the Week
