Hana was born and raised in rural Oregon and began taking photos on a 1970 Canon film camera when they were 16. Initially posting their photography on photo websites in 2009, they continued to shoot and share their images across the internet, garnering an early internet following on Instagram and Tumblr as well as client portfolio work in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles. Trained in acting technique and self-taught analog photography, Hana seeks to explore themes of femininity, emotional expression, fantasy and nostalgia in fashion, lifestyle and beauty. Their most recent clients include Lowell Farms, Crocs, Benefit Cosmetics and Universal Music, with work most recently featured in Interview Magazine, Vogue, Slenderbread, Nido Deutsch, Thistle, La Vida Elegante and Pony Anarchy. Hana is currently based in Portland, OR.
