How do videos go viral on TikTok? The algorithm works in that your video will appear in a limited amount of users’ feeds. If there’s enough engagement (such as likes, comments, shares, or rewatches), TikTok will then release the video to show up on even more people’s feeds. This continues until a video is “viral.” If there isn’t enough engagement, the video simply stops showing up on people’s feeds. Therefore, creating a viral video takes plenty of trial and error until you get the level of engagement that will bring you more viewers.
